SLEEP

getting extra money

What kind of characters did I choose? I found this game very difficult with a mage as my character until I made him a lawful good elf and gave him high karma. Note kept re-rolling the numbers until they totaled 86. So his strength is 13, dexterity is 12, constitution is 17, intelligence 18, wisdom 9, charisma 17. This guy rocked, especially with a sling. Now my first time through I used a Lawful Neutral fighter with an 87! That is stength 18, dexterity 17, constitution 18, wisdom 6, charisma 18 - after he got to level 5, I changed his class to wizard and imported into the game at the beginning. A wizard with high hit points (wow).

How to import? The game has one method. What worked for me was to go to the game data directory, make a copy of the character directory and put it somewhere else, now extract your character (fighter, mage, theif, etc.) from the old game, and before starting a new game replace the same file with the old file from the good game. Now anything you were holding, money to, also comes over during this process. Note Ulgoth's Beard, Durlag's Tower, and the Trackless Sea only available after you complete the game in Baldur's Castle.
