Clifton Ealy, Jr.'s son, Clifton Ealy III, is also a mathematician.

Dr. Ealy's statement:

My research interests are in finite groups, finite geometries and related graph theory. Recently, I have been studying the genus of finite simple groups, combinatorial structures that arise in the study of finite groups, and quasigroups with identity. I also have interests in some aspects of theoretical computer science, i.e., expander graphs, those related to group theory, and those related to quantum Turing machines.

According to Mathematical Reviews, Dr. Ealy has two papers:

  1. Ealy, Clifton E., Jr. On the construction of generalized quadrangles as coset graphs over quasigroups with identity. Proceedings of the Thirty-third Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory and Computing (Boca Raton, FL, 2002). Congr. Numer. 155 (2002), 49--56.
