email: akinlade@unnab.edu.ngDr. Olatunde Akinlade was born in Nigeria in 1963 and studied physics at Ibadan University where received a BS (1982), an MSc (1985), and in 1989 he received his PhD. In 1990 he was appointed Lecturer of Physics at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. Subsequently he was promoted through the ranks as Senior Lecturer = Assistant Professor, Reader = Associate Professor. He has been Professor since 1999.
Awards
RESEARCH
Dr. Akinlade concentrates his research on the theoretical studies of thermodynamic and structural properties of liquid metals and alloys. In 1999 he received a grant from the Humboldt-Stiftung (AvH) which enabled him to carry on his research for several months at the Max Planck Institute for Metallurgy in Stuttgart.
