Coding will be done in FORTRAN (f77 in Fall).

Lecture: Tuesday/Thursday 12:30-1:50 Recitation: Thurs 9:00

Grading Policy: Grades will be based on written homework (about 20-25%), computational homework (about 25-30%), a final project (about 25-30%), and two in-class tests (about 20-25%). Dates for the tests will be determined during the semester.

Computational homework must be submitted electronically, and are to be e-mailed before the beginning of class on the day they are due.

Graduate students enrolled as Math 537 will have a more advanced project than will undergraduates enrolled in Math 437.

Plagiarism: Any plagiarism, be it on homeworks/programs or exams, will earn you an F in the course. Further, you should be aware that the Department of Mathematics takes a serious stance in such instances and may bring you up on charges of academic dishonesty and attempt to have you expelled from the University.
