Textbook

           A Course in Functional Analsysis     by Conway, 2nd edition.

Course Description

This is the second semester of a one-year course. We shall discuss linear operators on Hilbert spaces and Banach spaces, and give an introduction to operator algebras. We'll cover Chapter II and VI-XI of the textbook, if time allowed.

Homework and Exams

No exams. There will be one or two homework sets. The grades are based on the homework.
