by Conway, 2nd edition.
- Course Description
- This is the first semester of a one-year course.
Functional analysis studies linear spaces with a topology or two.
It is a large area of mathematics now. We shall discuss Hilbert spaces, Banach
spaces, their duals, and linear operators on them.
- Homework and Exams
- No exams. There will be two or three homework sets.
The grades are based on the homework.
