1. Format of the final exam
* There are three questions.
MTH443 students need to answer questions 1(a)-(d), 2 and 3.
MTH543 students need to answer questions 1(a)-(e), 2 and 3.

* There is one problem involving solution of the diffusion problem (chapter 4).
You need to know how to obtain the general formula for the solution to the diffusion problem.
You also need to know how to calculate the flux.

* There is one problem on a system of kinetic equations (chapter 3).
You need to know how to obtain conservation laws, use the conservation laws to
reduce the system, nondimensionalize the reduced system, find the equilibrium
states and investigate their stability.

* There is one problem involving asymptotic expansions (chapter 2).
You need to know how to obtain a 2-term and a 3-term expansion for a given
equation.
