This process comes in handy if printerb is down. There are three steps involved. The keys needed are the control panel buttons "check", "back", "up" and "down".

Step 1. Change the HOST NAME to printerb

Press the "back" button until the panel says "Ready".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "CONFIGURE DEVICE".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "I/O".

Press "check", then "down" two times. The panel will say, "E102 JETDIRECT MENU".

Press "check". The panel will say, "TCP/IP".

Press "check", then "down" once. The panel will say, "HOST NAME".

Press "check". The panel will say, "*printera".

Press "check" seven times to move the flashing cursor over the "a", then "up" or "down" to change the "a" to "b".

Press "check" to move the cursor to the right of the "b". A dash "-" will be displayed. Press "down" to change the "-" to a "return arrow" symbol.

With the cursor blinking on the return arow symbol, press "check". The message "Setting saved" will appear momentarily, and the panel will say "HOST NAME" again.

2. Change the IP to 128.205.113.11

Press the "back" button until the panel says "Ready".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "CONFIGURE DEVICE".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "I/O".

Press "check", then "down" two times. The panel will say, "E102 JETDIRECT MENU".

Press "check". The panel will say, "TCP/IP".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "MANUAL SETTINGS".

Press "check". The panel will say, "IP ADDRESS".

Press "check". The panel will display "*128.205.113.10".

Press "check" three times to move the flashing cursor over the rightmost digits, then press "up" or "down" to change the number displayed to " 128.205.113.11".

With the rightmost digits of the number "128.205.113.11" flashing, press "check". The panel should momentarily say "Setting saved", and then say "IP ADDRESS" again.

3. Disable DUPLEX printing

Press the "back" button until the panel says "Ready".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "CONFIGURE DEVICE".

Press "check". The panel will say, "PRINTING".

Press "check", then "down" three times. The panel will say, "DUPLEX".

Press "check". The panel will say "*ON". Then press "up" or "down" until " OFF" is highlighted.

With the cursor highlighting " OFF", press "check". The panel will biefly flash "*OFF", then "Setting saved", and then will say "DUPLEX" again.
