email:Saliou Touré was for many years the Director of the Abidjan Mathematical Research Institute (IRMA) at the National University of Côte d'Ivoire, and Secretary-General of the African Mathematical Union.Dr. Saliou Toure is on the faculty of the University of Abidjan, Cote d' Ivoire (the Ivory Coast) Currently, Toure is Minister of Higher Education of Cote d' Ivoire. The French Academy awarded the 1994 Medal of Francophonie to Professor Saliou Touré, for the coordination of the Interafrican Mathematics Collection of schoolbooks for French-speaking countries in Africa.
