Arthur M. Jones was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lived until his early twenties. After earned a Masters degree at Atlanta University, Dr. Jones was Instructor at Southern University from 1961 to 1963; Instructor at Albany State College 1963 - 1964. From 1964 to69 he was an Actuary with Continental Casualty Company. He worked for Oakhill Engineering Inc. from 1971-73. Associate Professor of Mathematics Alabama State University 1973 - 1975. From 1975 to the present, Dr. Jones has held the. Arthur Vining Davis Professor of Statistics and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at Morehouse College.
