Christopher Imoru attended the University of Nigeria, Nzukka, Nigeria, from 1963 to 1966. From 1963- 1966 he attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors. From 1968 - 1972 he attended northwetern University in Evanton, Illinois, U.S. A., where he earned the Ph.D. in Mathematics under the famed professor Ralph Boas. Since 1974 he has been in the mathematics department of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Dr. Imoru was the Ph.D. advisor of James Adedayo Oguntuase.
